He oversees the day-to-day running of KPMG’s work with GCVA, which includes the half-yearly data collection, ranking and market analysis, and published report.

Anna Uprichard – Vice President, Commerce, EMEA, Blackhawk Network


Anna started her career at a start-up, pioneering global mobile reward and money transfer solutions for retail POS which led to the launch of a white label money transfer solution for Tesco.

Following the launch, Anna moved to Tesco Bank where she held various positions and launched multiple products, including the Tesco Gift Card Mall.

Anna became the Digital Director at Blackhawk Network in 2014, driving their EMEA strategy for digital gifting before moving in to a Business Development Director role and then onto Senior Director for their Distribution Channels.

She currently acts as Blackhawk’s Vice President for Commerce across EMEA, where she oversees the sale of gift cards through both Physical and Digital B2C channels.

With a strong passion for developing people and sales, I am 100% driven by clear goals and achievements. I make things happen from early morning until I go to bed. I represent a huge network within national and international companies across the Nordics and Europe and have together with my strong B2B sales teams created value for employees and customers related to my network since I started in GoGift. In my private life I live with my architect husband and have two grown up sons. I have a strong passion for development and spend many hours a week encouraging and coaching people to achieve B2B sales goals either in my teams or in the fitness centre.

Don Williams – KPMG Partner, Retail


Don has over 30 years of experience of advising clients in the retail sector initially as an audit partner and National Head of Sectors at BDO. His clients are, predominantly, private (family) or private equity owned and focused on managed growth to maximise shareholder value.

Don joined KPMG in late 2014 and continues his focus on the retail sector with a view to building on the existing strength of the firm’s retail franchise and leveraging existing experience and services that are currently employed effectively with other sectors. Although based In London, he is service line and geographically agnostic.

Specifically he seeks to help clients with some of the key opportunities and challenges that the sector faces: supply chain and operational efficiency, identification and effective penetration of international markets, the world of omni-channel, and the effective collection and analysis of data together with the systems and processes that are required to achieve this. And helping businesses to pay for this investment and comply with the increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Outside of work: he is married (Gail) with 2 children (Ella, 23 and Angus, 21) and lives outside of Reading. He is a keen sportsman (golf, tennis and hockey) and represented GB and England at hockey between 1989-95 including the privilege of participating at 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

He has been instrumental since that time in Savvy’s continuing growth and success to date, building a business of several hundred clients operating globally. GCVA members voted Eoin as winner of Honoured Industry Contributor 2018 for his outstanding contributions to the gift card industry, and he spent six very successful years as Chair of the GCVA from 2015-2021.

Glenn has over 20 years of retail experience predominantly with Currys, more than 10 of which have been within the gift card and voucher market. Glenn heads up a team that look after all aspects of the UK & Ireland Currys gift card programme, including store, online, malls, incentives, rewards, benefits, insurance replacement and internal promotions such as trade-in. He has overseen a shift from paper, to plastic, into digital and launched wallet provisioning. More recently, Glenn has taken on responsibility for subscription, focussing on lifestyle subscription partnerships across Music, News, Gaming, TV, Fitness, Consumables and more.

Heather has worked in the gift card industry for 16 years working at Red Letter Days, Travelzoo and Sodexo before joining Blackhawk Network. Since working at Blackhawk Network, Heather has headed up the Sales and Marketing for the B2B business, and now manages their eCommerce solutions for the business across Europe. Heather specialises in sales and marketing across B2B and B2C markets, working with some of the biggest brands in the world. Heather is also an Executive Board Member of the Gift Card & Voucher Association.

Helen Dickinson, OBE – Chief Executive, British Retail Consortium


Helen leads the team and sets the strategic direction of the BRC. She joined in January 2013 and has been working with retailers for over 25 years.

In 2016 she was awarded an OBE for Services to Retail. Helen is passionate about diversity and inclusion in retail, acting as the BRC’s Social Mobility Commission ambassador; participating in the Timewise Innovation Unit, looking to support more flexibility in jobs, particularly at senior levels; supporting the Everywoman Retail Ambassadors Programme; and having previously been the Chair of Working Chance, a charity helping women offenders find employment.

Helen believes retail can make a strong contribution to communities, and is also on the advisory board for Pennies,a charity which offers digital charity boxes to businesses. Helen was previously UK Head of Retail at KPMG, driving and developing the retail practice and leading relationships and audits for many clients.

Katie left the banking industry to join Jigsaw and the world of gift cards in early 2016 as their Head of Operations, a team of one! Joining a start-up in its early years allowed Katie to experience every part of Jigsaw – pitch preparation and delivery, partner management, lead generation, project management, invoicing and financial reconciliation, order processing and customer service. In 2017 she took on the role of Client Director allowing her to work more closely with Jigsaw’s ever-growing portfolio of retail clients whilst also working alongside Jigsaw’s two owners to drive the business forward. Katie’s latest role change came in January of this year when she made the move to Managing Director. She looks forward to taking on this new challenge and working closely with her team of passionate and knowledgeable people to lead Jigsaw, their clients, and their partners into their 10th year and beyond!

Miranda has over a decade of experience in retail leadership beginning her career at the sharp end in store leadership roles before moving into strategic commercial roles. She got hooked on the gift card world and its wealth of opportunity while managing the John Lewis Partnership gift card programme. Continuing with her passion Miranda now leads the Sainsbury’s group gift card programme which spans across four brands, Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat and Tu Clothing, with a team managing all aspects of the gift card, MRV and card linking offer. Alongside this Miranda has more recently ventured into the topical Energy market, with the Sainsbury’s white labelled Energy proposition also under her remit.

Paul has 14 years’ experience in product and commercial roles, working across both the banking and retail sectors. He is relatively new to the Gift Card industry and joined the team in January 2021 to manage the Tesco branded gift card programme. This involves product design, channel management, promotional plan and innovation roadmap across both B2C and B2B.

Rob has over 20 years experience covering the whole breadth of the Prepaid and Gift Card industries. During this time Rob has been involved in the Management of B2B and B2C Gift Voucher, Gift Card and eGift Card programs, sales and distribution.

Rob has extensive experience in the provision of Gift Card related services to retailers, agencies and processors throughout EMEA and was a leading voice on Digital developments and technologies back in 2011/2012 with Giftango (Now InComm InCentives).

More recently Rob has been responsible for InComm’s Business Development, InComm’s open loop products “Vanilla” and supporting the ever expanding emerging and alternative payments landscape across EMEA.

Siobhan is a commercial lawyer specialising in working with businesses that provide, receive or play a role in delivering niche payment solutions. She advises clients on strategy, new product structure, business expansion, formulating procedures, regulatory conundrums and contracts (B2B and B2C). Her practice has a particular focus on the e-money and payment services sector, assisting fintech companies, retailers, mobile phone operators, financial institutions, e-money issuers, payment service providers, programme managers, resellers and gift card operators. She liaises with regulators and government bodies on matters impacting the payment service sector.

Siobhan speaks regularly at international conferences on matters relating to e-money and payment sector.

Siobhan is the Co-chair of the Gift Card & Voucher Association (GCVA) executive committee and board director of Payments Innovation Forum (PIF).

Tom Niedbalski is a thought leader and a visionary transforming the way brands leverage branded currency to engage with consumers for over 27 years. In his role as Vice President of Fiserv Global Sales & Partnerships, Tom has been an instrumental part of the Gift Solutions leadership team.

Most notably, Mr. Niedbalski’s passion and diverse strengths helped him to start the first-ever gift card in North America in 1994. The Blockbuster gift card and reward program helped revolutionize the industry with marketing innovation and enabled branded currency to serve as a model for enterprises across the globe. Thomas’s accomplishments helped shape the future of prepaid and “wow what a difference” this would make to this ever-evolving industry.

As co-founder of Transaction Wireless, Tom developed and executed a robust digital platform strategy positioning Transaction Wireless as a leading provider of digital gift cards and prepaid services across multiple emerging and mobile channels. As a result of his passion and dedication, First Data acquired Transaction Wireless creating the first ever complete end to end enterprise gift card solutions available in the industry.

Tom’s professional accomplishments and industry involvement has not gone unrecognized. The Incentive Marketing Association nominated and awarded him the 2018 President’s Award.

A CIM qualified marketeer with a degree in Human Genetics from Newcastle University, Victoria joined the M&B digital marketing team from the Pets at Home Vet Group and continues to apply her scientific roots to all things marketing. Having previously managed the M&B gift card programme, card-linked marketing and partnerships, her current role leads a team to deliver web, CRM, social media and promotional strategy in the M&B restaurant division. Victoria is also an executive member of the GCVA board.

Prior to Prizeout, Holly co-founded K+H Connection: a branded currency consulting firm, Flourish Conference & Media: a conference and media network focused on branded currency, and FinFoundHer: an initiative aimed at helping female-led businesses grow and gain access to funding.

Marion is a highly accomplished business leader with extensive experience across the financial service industry, with an exemplary track record of driving growth through innovation, change and superlative people leadership.

Marion is recognised by the banking industry as a payments pioneer and was Director of Payments NatWest, responsible for setting the Payments strategy which included payment architecture, operations, industry relations and innovation (2015-2022). Previously President of MasterCard UK & Ireland (2012-2015), Marion was responsible for growing the business and developing a world beyond cash through an innovative approach to everyday Payments, including technologies such as contactless and mobile. Prior to joining MasterCard, Marion was CEO of VocaLink (2000-2012), where during her tenure the Faster Payments Service was launched, Voca and Link were merged and Marion initiated international expansion with VocaLink selected as the outsourced provider of Sweden’s payments.

Marion is Chair of the Advisory Board for the Payments Association, an advisory board member of the US association P20 and recently chaired the UK Finance Payments Futures working group.

Marion is on the Payments Advisory Board, member of the charitable business Pennies (pennies.org.uk) and proud to be a trustee of The Multiple Sclerosis Society (mssociety.org.uk).

Matt joined Blackhawk Network in 2008, and took the reigns as Managing Director of the region in 2014. Prior to joining Blackhawk Network, Matt gained 13 years of experience in the retail sector whilst working at Debenhams Retail PLC. In his time there, Matt ran the Debenhams gift card program and was responsible for driving significant sales growth through product innovation, marketing and in-store projection.

Paul is CEO and co-founder of B4B Payments, a leading global provider of card issuing and payment solutions for businesses.

B4B Payments has grown from the ground up since it was founded in 2005. Paul has driven the business to consistently deliver annual growth in double-digits over recent years and has achieved multiple industry awards including Best Prepaid Product of the Year in the Card & Payments Awards 2019. Growth has been fuelled by Paul’s deep knowledge of prepaid card technology and its market applications enabling B4B Payments to adapt to emerging needs from SMEs to large corporates and NGOs.

Prior to founding the company with his business partner in 2006, Paul enjoyed a successful 15 year career in management consulting where he worked around the globe and across sectors including retail, consumer products and with a strong focus on technology.

Now, 15 years later, B4B’s headquarters remain in London, and the business has grown to four offices located globally in Newcastle, Vilnius and Boston. In 2021 B4B Payments was acquired by EQT-Ventures owned Banking Circle. Subject to regulatory approvals, B4B now operates as a sister company with separate leadership and governance. Over the coming years, Paul will direct the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy pursuing significant scale up and expansion across all aspects of the business model.

Most notably, Mr. Niedbalski’s passion and diverse strengths helped him to start the first-ever gift card in North America in 1994. The Blockbuster gift card and reward program helped revolutionize the industry with marketing innovation and enabled branded currency to serve as a model for enterprises across the globe. Thomas’s accomplishments helped shape the future of prepaid and “wow what a difference” this would make to this ever-evolving industry.

As co-founder of Transaction Wireless, Tom developed and executed a robust digital platform strategy positioning Transaction Wireless as a leading provider of digital gift cards and prepaid services across multiple emerging and mobile channels. As a result of his passion and dedication, First Data acquired Transaction Wireless creating the first ever complete end to end enterprise gift card solutions available in the industry.

A CIM qualified marketeer with a degree in Human Genetics from Newcastle University, Victoria joined the M&B digital marketing team from the Pets at Home Vet Group and continues to apply her scientific roots to all things marketing. Having previously managed the M&B gift card programme, card-linked marketing and partnerships, her current role leads a team to deliver web, CRM, social media and promotional strategy in the M&B restaurant division. Victoria is also an executive member of the GCVA board.
